A Edelweiss for Michael Jackson
The american pop-singer has spent two days in Sulden-and noone wanted to believe it
Sulden- From the big Iceberg in the center-village he was as much amazed as by the bouquet of Edelweiss he got, as well as by the hospiatality in Sulden.
But most of all he enjoyed the peace, he found over the weekend.
Noone wants to take for real the the american Popstar was really in Sulden from Friday to Sunday.
The visit came surprising for all, even Paul Hanny, who knows everything that is going on in Sulden." I was told in the very last moment to book a dozen single rooms in the best places", Hanny told the "Dolomiten" (local newspaper). In Sulden all rooms were mostly blocked already, but "I am available for everything a little crazy", says Hanny.
Because guests like this seldomly travel by themselves, Lee Myong-Ho and Kelly Kathleen, two of Jacksons Managers, arrived in Sulden on Friday around 17:00. At 17:30 the pop-singer in person himself arrived in Sulden and was welcomed at a private-house. He landed in Innsbruck with his private-jet and was than travellin to Sulden by car.
The pain caused by his lately broken foot, forced him to be treated by Dr. Raffella Stocker several times. The illustrious party had dinner at a private-house. The music-group "Laz Zag" from Meran was so surprised by Michael Jackson's presence, that the first few of their pieces of music sounded a little faint-hearted. Besides "Stilfser Almkäse" (local cheese speciality) and "Schüttelbrot" (special crispbread), Michael enjoyed carotts.
The departure was set for Saturday Afternoon...but because his managers and bodyguards enjoyed themselves in the "Apres-Club" and Michael enjoyed the piece and silence he found in the private home, he decided to extend the stay until Sunday.
He was able to enjoy this ease when he went for a tour of the village in a private car.He was especially amazed by the technical-systems of the cable-lifts in Sulden. At 19:30 Michael and his friends met for dinner in the Parkhotel "Hartmanns Weinstube".
The people of Sulden also presented him with gifts. He was especially amazed by a bouquet of Edelweiss (a special flower that can only be found in the mountains and is under nature conservation) that Robert Eberhöfer got for him. The popstar had never before seen a real Edelweiss. He was also given a precious stone from the massif of the mountain "Königsspitze" that Konrad Knoll got for him.
Michael Jackson took off on Sunday Afternoon. Paul Hanny drove him to Innsbruck, right on the runway to the private-jet. He also carried a letter that was given to him by the former Priest of Sulden, Josef Hurton. Translation by Arved Maron Jr
