Winnie and Doo in Monaco for The World Music Awards                                         May 96

After having seen Michael in real for the first time , we decided to go and see him as

much as we could. The first occasion had been the World Music Awards in Monaco in

May 96.

We were  at school and young so we get lucky when we learnt that the ceremony was on

a day without school! We asked Doodoo's brother to bring us to Monaco by car.The

problem was that we could only stay 1 day but it was better than nothing. We had our

tickets for the show and we arrived in Monaco at 9 am. We knew no fans and nothing

about Michael . So we arrived at the Hotel de Paris and waited. After seeing Michael in

my hallucinations 100 times, he finally came out of the hotel! We couldn't believe our

eyes!

Nothing happened because we didn't know that we could follow him or anything. We

learnt so much after that the day before , he met so many fans in the shops ect...

We arrived at the ceremony after having seeing Michael coming back to the hotel after

the rehearsals. We had back places but the room was not so big. Michael arrived and me

screamed so loud!!! We were able to see Michael during all the show cause he was sitting

at first row. The fans were screaming so loud during all the show that the others stars

were always looking at us!

Then it was Michael time to perform! He sang Earth song and it was so great! He sang A

cappella for a while and we couldn't believe our ears!!! It was phenomenal! When he

finished, something was wrong..no one was moving and 5 mn after a voice told us that

Michael will perform again. Then we were told that Michael wanted his fans in frontof

the stage. We calmy went in front of the stage and we thought that it was impossible that

we could stay here cause we had our arms on the stage! But Michael arrived and sang just

in front of us! It was amazing to see him doing his moonwalk so close to us! At the end

Michael shade a tear and I was able to see it falling on this check...It was THE

experience!

During the show ,some stars were going on stage so the managers of the show asked us to

sit where nobody was.So we went sitting at Jermaine's place and the secod time, we were

at second row and Doodoo told me :"look who is behind!" It was Bob Jones! We were

sitting in front of Bob Jones! lol!

When Diana Ross sang, she went on Michael's knees and kissed him on the lips! Then we

called Michael and he turn back and waved at us! It was nothing but it was the first time

he really saw us and we were so happy!
