| The Berth of Happiness Through memories I have walked the path of days from long ago, where childhood dreams held promises and failure held it's tearful woe.. Once I was a little girl, but now I am grown up. I face the fear of long ago with less the tears I used to know. This lifetime now insists that I protect my soul and sometimes all it takes is to remember with a smile those special times of innocent hope and the childhood laughter I immortalize: An open heart; an open mind, being amazed at the newness of my world.; Reaching out a fearless hand to help no matter what the cause. I long to find this child again and to set her free to love openly everyone she sees and to look for hope above. Take these earthly shackles off. Set my spirit free This growing injustice and hatred increase is surely killing me. Earthly vanity does not matter It is not the dwelling for anyone. Tear it apart and create a playground, a place to play for everyone. We'll hold hands like children free and without prejudice For the berth of happiness can be found in all of us . Author's Note: Was written in fable form may change the metre a little. |
