Advice For Coming Freshmen to High School

Friends are a foundation no your life.

As you get older, your friends may change. Some remain friends, while others show true colors and become something else.

Keep the memories of good times. Forget the fights or misunderstandings, because losing a true friend is like losing part of you.

Don't worry about fitting in with others. Your friends will like you for who you are.

Don't become a door mat and let people walk all over all you.

Do your homework and get good grades. Not because your teacher or the school tells you. But think of what your parents will do.

Believe what your parents tell you. They have been there and done it too. Trust them, and confide in them. They really do care.

Get enough sleep, but not in class. Don't stay up too late. Use your time wisely.

Even if you think you know the subject, study. It makes a difference.

If you get Mrs. Beutero, do the reading and read carefully.
Before you start to dislike a teacher, get to know them and what they go through. They don't have it as easy as you think.

Just to repeat myself some what, keep the good memories and forget the bad.

I wrote this in 2002 as a project for my Senior English class.
