Now, Doodle has a little story to tell about these boxes.  These boxes were originally placed on July 4, 2004, in an area where you drive past the Cuyahoga Valley Towpath to get to the parks where they're hidden.  On July 5, 2004, we were in that area, riding our bikes on the Towpath with some friends.  Oblivious to the fact that there were now letterboxes planted so close to where we'd be, because we didn't check our email until the next day, and didn't read the LbNA Announce List message until then.  That hurts, finding out after the fact that you were so close to another find or finds, because the way the Letterboxer's mind works is that every trip is an occasion to possibly find another box.  What makes it even worse, though, for Doodle, is that The Chronicles of Narnia were her most favorite series of books as a child.  She and her brother would play out The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe with their Legos.  And here, just placed, accessible to her, were letterboxes based on those books, in an area where she'd be, and she didn't know about them.

But fear not, because as you can see, we did eventually make it out there again and found the two precious boxes.  What great hikes, what scenic places, what neat stamps.  To Doodle, these boxes rank between a 9 and 10 on Poison Ivy's Box Rating System.

What We've Learned While Letterboxing, Item 6:  Don't leave home without checking your LbNA Announce List emails first.
