Mr. Rowe,

 

Against my wishes and as result of personal and sexual harassment, I am giving notice of my resignation effective immediately.  I had hoped that when I recently brought this to your attention the situation would improve; however, it has not.

 

Since July of last year, I have worked hard to do my job; however, the last four months have made it rather difficult. I have had to endure numerous accounts of harassment, which has been documented and presented to management.  I have brought this to the attention of my immediate manager and to my knowledge nothing has been done about it.  I feel the situation will not improve and I cannot continue to work where such behavior is tolerated and ignored.  This situation has spawned a hostile environment which I'm sure you will agree is counter-productive to the overall goal of the company.

 

When I was hired by Classic Cable, I expected a higher level of work ethic and respect from my fellow employees than what I have witnessed.  However, after time went on, I learned that professionalism is the exception and not the rule.  It appears being targeted for harassment is common place.

 

Additionally, in what I see as a pathetic attempt to resolve the situation, Robin Gautier offered to relocate me as a receptionist.  Aside from this being an obvious demotion, it is far from resolving the problem.
