| This 960 sq. k.m. forest, made with the canopy of large trees like Teak, Sal, Bahera, Kawla, Dilenia, Mallotus,Chilaune, Lali etc. as well as 83 type of different recorded grass including the giant elephant grass, the guatemala etc. Some beautiful wild orchids ornaments the forest to it's splendor. | Malbazar is about 55 k.m. from Siliguri which can be reached either by train or by road. Chapramari is about 20 k.m. from Malbazar. Arrangements can be made at Meghamallar Tourist Lodge at Malbazar and the conducted tour also includes Jhalong and Bindu. To visit the park during day-time only, the visitors have to collect their permit from Lataguri Nature Interpretation Centre. One recommended journey is the metregauge train for Alipurduar (one passenger train in the morning and the other Intercity Express in the afternoon) from New Jalpaiguri / Siliguri Junction which passes through wildlife sanctuaries.
