British Interstate Music, Ltd., produced this CD in 1992. It features the work of singer/pianist Una Mae Carlisle, and singers Maxine Sullivan and Savannah Churchill for New York record producer Joe Davis during the War years.
The American Federation of Musicians (AFM) recording ban of 1942 effectivly ended Una Mae Carlisle's contract with RCA Bluebird. She signed with Davis' Beacon label in 1944 and recorded the first 15 tracks on this CD.
The balance of the CD consists of two recordings by Ms. Sullivan from 1944 and four by Ms. Churchill from 1942.
The entire package is worth a listen.
