2 CDs of "Elvis on Sun" - released in 1999 and readily available. The perfect package for any "Elvis nut," all of his released tracks recorded at 706 Union Avenue in Memphis, whether released on Sun, or among the titles which were part of the deal which brought Elvis to RCA. Plus alternate takes, a couple of early acetates, and some live recordings from Elvis' Louisiana Hayride performances, for a total of 38 tracks spanning 1953 through 1955.
The "Hillbilly Cat" unadulterated and "not ready for prime time." A package to treasure if you want to learn how the "rockabilly" sound developed.
An interesting aspect is that the 2 CDs are printed to look like miniature versions of old Sun 45s, even though the package comes from RCA.
