MAIRZY DOATS - 44 WACKY HITS -
(Good Music 2 CD set # MSD2-35180/115220)

This 2 CD set, from the Good Music Record Co., released in 1989, is currently available, but not easy to find. It contains a collection of "fun songs" of the 1940s (the earliest track is actually from 1939, the most recent from 1951).

If you are of my generation (a World War II baby), these are the "funny" tunes we heard when we were kids, and Mom still ruled the radio dial, listening to mainstream "pop" programs like Martin Block's Make Believe Ballroom. Fun stuff and memories of our childhood days, even if some of them may not be exactly politically correct nowadays.

Dates shown are first dates on the Billboard charts, as reported in Joel Whitburn's Pop Memories.

Not available everywhere, but worth the quest.
