THE CLOVERS / DANCE PARTY -
(Collectables CD # 6218)

This 1998 Collectables release combines the contents of two early LPs by the Clovers, originally released on the Atlantic label. It covers their career in a substantial manner from 1951 to 1958, containing a total of 26 tracks.

The Clovers were Harold "Hal" Lucas (tenor/baritone/lead), Matthew McQuater (tenor), John "Buddy" Bailey (tenor/lead), Harold Winley (bass), and Bill Harris (guitar).

A great package of Clovers music.

Extensive liner notes by R&B historian Marv Goldberg round out this package. Since they're on line, there's no need to repeat them here.
