This 2001 package, released by Four Epics members Jimmy Mullen and the late Jack McKnight on their eponymous JMX2 (J. M. times two - get it??) label includes almost everything released by the Epics under their various names - the Bancrofts, the Four Epics, The Vespers, and Exodus, along with several fine but previously unreleased titles. The South Philly boys have a fine "white harmony" sound and are well worth a listen.
Liner notes penned by Jimmy give a good outline of the group's history, and the booklet provides as many photos of the group as you might want. Jimmy has enough unreleased material "in the can," to produce at least 2 more CDs - including the so-called "Still Standing In The Kitchen" rehearsal session, some of which has been played on Internet radio. So I guess we can look forward to CDs JMX2 1002 and 1003 in the not-too-distant future.
