Most of my friends (who know about Trigun), know that I like the idea of El_GatoShippiness. For those who don't know what "Shippy" means: A "Ship" to some anime lovers is a pairing between two characters who they think should be together, in most cases, romantically. I first heard this term attached to "RocketShipping," which is the pairing of Jesse and James from Pokemon. Anyhoo...
The more and more I observed little, nonsense things from Trigun, the more and more I noticed slim ties between Legato and Kuroneko. What really hit it off for me though, is the fact that if you just switch two letters around in Legato's name, you get "El Gato," Spanish for "The Cat." So that is how I created El_GatoShipping - Too much time on my hands. Personally I think it's a cute pairing (assuming Kuroneko ish female). Reasons..I've seen many things in which Legato and Kuroneko appear together...ok, maybe not a lot of things! ^_^;; 1. Umm..on the Second Donuts Soundtrack there is a mini-drama in which Legato is talking about Kuroneko. Kuroneko just "Nya's" throughout the whole thing, it's quite amusing. And it seems that Legato tried to "help out" Kuroneko, as he supposedly shot off a flea. (Hmm..the first time I heard Legato use a gun). 2. Some doujinshi have stories in which both Legato and Kuroneko appear (including some of the doujinshi I've put up here). Why? Who knows? And I thank Sad Mewtwo for showing me the doujinshi page from which I got the image above. 3. Habits. If you've seen Legato lick his hand, doesn't it remind you of a cat licking it paw?? And Legato's mannerisms are high and aloof..just like many cats are characterized out to be! 4. At one point Kuroneko scratched Vash! Only something working with a person as cold as Legato could hurt Vash! (Or some stupid, scared humans looking for a scape-goat to end their suffering, but we won't get into that.) 5. Both Legato and Kuroneko like to eat! (Ok, so Legato has Kuroneko beat on this one..) What can I say? I have way too much time on my hands. -__- |
