Philae Temple Viewed from Boat
Philae Temple, the largest temple dedicated to Isis, was relocated due to the construction of the Aswan High Dam. Built during the 3rd century BC it was the last place where hieroglyphs were inscribed and where priests could perform rituals in a period where Christianity was spreading.
