Karnak Temple was part of the largest and most impressive religious and economic centre in ancient Egypt. The temple was continuously enlarged and beautified over a period of 2000 years by pharaohs such as Tuthmosis III, Ramesses II, Amenophis III and Queen Hatshepsut.
