| Edfu Temple, the largest temple dedicated to the falcon god Horus, is also the second largest Egyptian Temple after Karnak. The temple is well preserved due to the long period it was buried beneath the sand.Construction began in 237 BC during the reign of Ptolemy II and was finished in 57 BC. |
