It seems to me you confuse objectivity, which is essential to science, with
certainty, which is more appropriate to religion. Scientific objectivity is
not at all the same as certainty. To pursue it you must give up the
desire/search for certainty.
William Benzon (speaking to one of the artists on the Art With Brain in Mind list)
I do weddings. Being Universal, I'm good for mixed faith ceremonies, no faith ceremonies, or ceremonies with just about anything you can name. I've even done a wedding that called for the Norse pantheon.
If you are getting married in Massachusetts and in need of a minister, please feel free to contact me here at don'[email protected]. Remove the apostrophe.
There are standard ceremonies available, or I can help you design your own. References available.
Yes, I'm an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church, which believes that most anybody could and should be a minister. Scientists speak the language of Doubt, and the uncertainty of my profession crept into and took over my religious views. I've been universal in my beliefs for a long time, because I don't think any religion has a monopoly on the truth, whatever truth is. It amused me to find a church that would ordain me despite refusing to believe firmly in anything.
