To borrow a quote, "The purpose of music is to provide what life does not." With that in mind, Isaiah Moon has set out to put their own distinctive scar on the face of music; commited to their own unique artistic vision, independent of the scenes that come and go around them.
Born out of the dissolution of several previous bands, Isaiah Moon was formed in the summer of 2000. Local phenoms Ian Livingston (Percussion), Eric Norwood (Guitar), and Jason Vaughn (Bass) join forces with Jon Moore (vocals) and Jeff Whitley (Guitar). After a few short rehearsals, a star (or at the very least a very shiny object) was born. Isaiah Moon is, in short, an amalgam. Each member brings something unique to the table, and the whole is supremely greater than the sum of it's parts. We write and play what we want on our own terms, from the most sweet and soulful to the nastiest rock, always searching for that perfect collaboration of music, lyrics, and emotion. The Moon is Mother, the Moon is night--and night time is the right time..
