My Life in De La Salle University-Dasmariņas

DLSU-D Campus

Everyone perceives college life to be so hard to cope with, indeed it is if a person doesn't live life the way it used to be. compared to highschool life, college life is somewhat great and exciting. You will experience may ups and downs, good and bad times but you will feel that you're free to do what you want in your life. Many things will change as you enter into the college world because you will be able to learn new things and meet new friends.

As for my experience, I'm living away from home. I am living with different kinds of people, at first i found it so hard because i will be the one who will do the things that my mom is doing when I am still living with them. I learned to be an independent person, i consider this as my very first learning as I step into college. When I first stepped into the gate of DLSU-D, i thought of what would be my life studying there. I was so worried not to find new friends because I still do not know how to socialize with others and i don't know how to cope with the culture of Cavite because I used to live with my province's culture. It was really hard for me during my first year because I wasn't close with my classmates to the fact that we do not share the same interests, but it was not a hindrance as i walk into the first step of my college life.

As I continue to walk into my journey, many changes occured in me. I learned how to build self-confidence and how to socialize well which helped me to have a good relationship towards my classmates. I came to realize that it's really important having a smooth relationship with them because we're all living in the four corners of the classroom. My life in DLSU-D is not merely focused with my classmates. I also meet different kinds of people from different colleges who I consider people who truly shape my whole being, people who help to bring out the best in me. I also have these organizations wherein I could help myself enhance my own abilities which I can use as I turn my life into the next chapter.

My experiences in college is really inspiring. And it made me so proud that I already changed my impression of myself. I can say that I am a different person compared from what I know about myself before. La Salle and every person I have from this university helped me to become strong, passionate, responsible and God-fearing. A few months from now, I will be stepping out of De La Salle University to face the challenges of the real world. I will proudly bring all the things i've learned while studying in DLSU-D for four years. My college years is one that I will treausre most, because i've experienced a life of a student that is worthliving...

"Life makes no sense if we never look up to God."
