From blues/old jazz to easy listening,
Don Russell will surely delight his audiences with his piano stylings. His show holds the promise of not only varied selections but also the elements of charm and charisma found with a professional performer who is extremely adept in skill.
Born in the United States, Don has traveled extensively as an entertainer. He spent many years performing engagements throughout Japan. He is familiar with the cruise scene, having performed on Hawaiian, Caribbean, Alaskan and Pacific tours. In the U.S., Don has entertained extensively along the Atlantic coast and in the Washington, DC and New York City areas.
Along with people skills in theater, Don is a performer trained to please his listeners. His background enables him to produce lavish shows should they be required, as well as appropriate entertainment for occasions where elegant and relaxing background music is sought.
His repertoire encompasses virtually everything, including blues/jazz, slow dancing, show tunes, standards, Latin and ragtime as well as an extensive classical repertoire.
Don embraces new situations and special projects geared to specific venues. For example, he can perform complete one hour shows of the music of George Gershwin, Rodgers and Hammerstein or Andrew Lloyd-Webber within his music routine.
He has a flair to promote himself and his venue with his keen sense of knowing his audience.
