  • This website is dedicated to documenting the ongoing work in the Interpersonal Conflict Laboratory at the University of Cincinnati under the direction of Donald J. Rudawsky. This lab has grown out of my dissertation work using a role-playing methodology to illuminate the use of different conflict resolution strategies used by college students when in conflict with peers. My hope is that this website will grow into a starting point for other researchers who study interpersonal conflict.

It is my contention that there is an abundance of work in the areas of workplace, group, and international conflict.  The work coming out of this lab will focus on understanding the dynamics of conflict within interpersonal contexts, including friendships, acquaintanceships, and intimate relationships.  This focus can be seen, not only in the work coming from the lab, but also in the choices of weblinks listed on the left.

Currently the lab is being used to gather data for my dissertation "Effects of Gender and Directed Thought in Conflicts Between Peers". That link takes you to several summaries of the project that vary in length. The following link takes you to a list of conflict projects coming from the lab, and other conflict writing that I have authored/am in the process of writing papers and presentations.
