I interviewed some people to do my old job. Some had short responses.... others had a story.

John Wayne agreed to attend a faculty meeting with me. Later, he expressed his lack of satisfaction.

John was also not enthused to be located so close to the Computer Science Department.

I then asked if he would at least become my bodyguard when I have to visit any of the Data Centers......

At least John consented to speak to my old bosses when I transferred into my new office.

I showed Homer Simpson my list of jobs to get done.

And then I told him that he was being considered to take my place.

Of course, I let him let him know what he would be paid.

Hank Hill took a look at the working conditions.

Then I showed my old paycheck to Beavis and Butthead.....

For the fans of "It's a wonderful life":

Since George Bailey did so well battling old man Potter, I managed to get him named as my interim replacement.   While he was being considered, he made a statement to the boss.   After he attended his first faculty meeting, he called on a friend to get him out of the job, though......

For the Star Trek fans:

Captain Jayneway was contacted for a telephone interview, but she was not very happy about that.

She grew apprehensive when a job offer was about to be made.

And when I noted that Starfleet could transfer her to replace me whether she liked it or not, Jayneway expressed her anger.

Q seemed to be the only one on the Star Trek shows who was happy to be considered for my job.

Worf had to be convinced that I was serious about recruiting him.

And Worf was very upset at me for deciding to leave to another job.

Tuvok had a classic response to my recruitment offer.

Dr. Zimmerman did not want my job - but had a comment after my old boss and I started arguing over his need for EXTRA help.........

Dr. Who was already familiar with the job....but he tried to come up with an excuse for not taking my place......

Ace Ventura was not positive in his response, either.

Apparently, someone had warned him about the faculty meetings.

Obi-Wan Kenobi had also heard about the IUP faculty meetings.

He thought that he could handle the job, until he learned that an old friend of his with a black helmet was on the faculty, already.

One of the reasons that I left this old job was that I just got tired of Darth's arrogant attitude.

Another friend had also tried to warn Obi-Wan about the difficulty of my job......

Women and minorities were also invited to apply for my job. After looking at the duties, one lady decided to leave early - and became angry when I tried to stop her.

Luckily, one of the security guards warned her about that type of behavior.
