This is a photo of
my grandfather's home at 1903 Payne
in Wichita, Kansas. My father was born in this house in
1941.
At the time of this photo (probably around the mid-1930's)
this was, as my grandfather wrote on the back of the
photo,
a "suburban home" with 1½ acres of land.
The house itself is no longer standing.
The area is now well within the city and is a quiet
middle class neighborhood.
