Seth Binderup has been with Don Puņaton Productions since its inception and thus it is fitting for him to be featured in the first monthly installment of "Close-Up," the new publication for Don Puņaton Productions. In fact, Seth Binderup's involvement with Don Puņaton Productions is even older than the company itself. Binderup worked with Allen Scott and Luke DuVal prior to the foundation of Don Puņaton Productions, where he completed such projects as "EMT," "EMT: The First Mission," and a long lost adaptation of Homer's classic "The Iliad."

In late 2001, Binderup, Scott and DuVal formed Don Puņaton Productions and in 2002 released "The Christmas Project." Binderup shared producing credits in the film and wowed audiences with his turn as Madison, a role which earned him considerable praise within the industry and even led to rumors of a possible Oscar nomination. (Unfortunatley, Binderup failed to receive a nomination.)

After "The Christmas Project," Seth Binderup was the hottest name from Tulelake to Hollywood. He could have chosen any project and worked with any director but Binderup shunned the spotlight and accepted a role in the indepentent film "Coming of Age."

Binderup continued to avoid the Hollywood spotlight with a quick shift careers. In a matter of weeks, Binderup went from being the most sought-after star in the film industry to being the most-listened to radio DJ on KRFH - Radio Free Humboldt. With his program "Co. Road 100," Seth Binderup could finally reach the worldwide audience that he always craved. Since its inception in the spring of 2002, "Co. Road 100" has continued to achieve success and is now in its third season.

When Binderup received the opportunity to once again team up with his good friend Allen Scott, he just couldn't refuse. Scott proposed that he and Binderup combine their resources and film a reality series based on their tumultuous lives. The series hit the airwaves in late 2002 and will be wrapping up its first season on March 5, 2004. Binderup directed two episodes during the first season.

The partnership between Scott (pictured below, with Binderup) and Binderup continued to thrive and the two began to work on "Dark Mullet," their second film together. Shooting began in December 2003 and as of the publication of this article, it is not completed. Binderup plays the role of Senator Philip Dagon in the film.

What's next for Seth Binderup? Only time will tell. Currently, Binderup continues to rock the airwaves with "Co. Road 100" and the "Life and Times" series. He is also currently planning his feature directorial debut. Binderup would love to return to the character that made him a star and reprise his role as Madison in a prequel to the "The Christmas Project." Whatever Binderup's next role is, one thing is certain...we'll be watching.
