Kohai he, * join the clubs(sports, academics); be active in your respective kosen. * kouryuukai(homestay, visits, walk rallies, camps) is highly recommended. it will also keep you from getting homesick. * and of course, study hard and try to get very good grades. it will come in handy during the Monbusho extension exam. go for all A's. The things mentioned above are the prime requirements for those aspiring for the extension. It will definitely give your teachers the impression that you're not only doing your best in your studies, which is the main reason why we're here, but also that you are trying to contribute to their "internationalization" goal. All these things will reflect in the recommendation that your adviser will submit to the board or examiners. So if they're not impress with what's written in it, they're going to grind you, and you'll be sorry. Enjoy yourselves while at the same time keeping your eyes fix to your ambitions. Kosen could be quite disappointing esp. for those of us who were university kids back home. It could also be a wonderful experience because we kosen students have a chance of discovering and knowing Japan, inside-out. We'll not only see the glamorous life of the city, but also the simple life in the country. And yes, we'll have a chance to fellowship with nature which most of us who are living in Manila are not blessed with. To sum it all in a caption, "Yoku asobe, yoku manabe". | |
