Born in Paris 1840, one of the great impressionist of his time, he was a good friend of Edouard Manet, was studying with Renoir, Sisley and Bazille.
He was also a great gardener, he created his own garden like a pallete,
where the flower banks are arranged in bright, magical tones, where the eye is dazzled by so many different living colors.
