30th Anniversary Tour Rehearsal Concert (continued)
Not wanting to feel out of place backstage or in the way, I went to the parking lot back by the tour buses and sat on a corner curb while Dave tended to business.  I was still in a daze and as I sat there I started singing Lakeside Park very softly and realizing that I would probably never hear this song done live again.  A couple of days later on the plane ride home, a friend told me that Geddy no longer likes this song??

I even felt as though maybe Rush just didnt want to go back and put the effort into relearning songs that they hadnt done in awhile so they just picked what they knew and toured.

On a lighter note, Dave reappeared and had some things to take care of on Neils bus and we headed in that direction.  He then asked me if Id like to check out the bus

Part III:  Autobus de Neil

Dave had stepped into the front part of the bus and sat down in the drivers seat so I stepped in.  He motioned for me to continue so I took a left and entered the living area of the bus was furnished with a table and seating area to my left and a small seating around to the right.  Behind the wall where the driver sits, there is a wide flat screen television that was turned on.  Just past the seating area on the right is a wet bar (bear with me as it has been over 2 months since I was on the bus so I hope Im getting it right). Past the wet bar were two bunks on both sides (i.e., 4 total), and beyond that was a restroom area, a sink and a large king bed in the back covered with decorative pillows in beige and black.
It was very clean (the tour hadnt even officially started yet).  When I reached the back I turned around and headed back up to where Dave was.  I found myself almost rushing as it occurred to me that if Neil entered the bus he might be irritated that I was there and I did not want to be placed in an awkward confrontation with the Wrath-O-Neil raining down upon me.  I stepped out of the bus (deciding I didnt even want to be inside the drivers area) and waited for Dave to finish what he was doing.  Then we went to the rear of the bus where Neil keeps his motorcycles.  I checked out 2 beautiful BMWs that were huge it seemed that they were almost twice as big as a Harley.  Then I recalled Neils size from my bowling alley encounters and they are probably a very good fit for him.

Shortly thereafter, Dave and I were back on his bike and heading back to Nashville.
