Welcome Administrators!
As fourth grade teachers, we are working hard to help our students become good test takers.  Along with teaching the necessary content, we have also committed to teaching our students how to become good test takers.  We feel that by doing this we will lower test anxiety and will ultimately raise test scores.

In all the subjects that we teach a plethora of assesment techniques are used in order to gauge whether the students understand what we are trying to teach them.  We understand that several forms of assesment must be used in order to understand where we need to direct our instruction.

In several subjects, we use rubrics to grade essays and presentations that we ask the students to do.  we also give several teacher made tests and quizzes to assess whether our students understand what we are trying to teach them.

We are always diligent in ensuring that all the activities in our classroom fit the New York State Standards for fourth grade.
