So, what's Velcro Kitty? First, Kitty Bear would jump up on the top of the couch and hang his front paws over the edge. It helped if he was in a frisky mood, too. Then I would toss the ball to him, and he would swipe his paw very quickly and catch it with his claws. It looked really funny because only his paws would move, like they were mechanized! His paw would swing in a circle and just stick to the ball, like Velcro! It truly was hysterical and amusing to watch! No one could believe I had "taught" a cat to play catch! But, Kitty Bear hated when people laughed at him. So, if anyone was watching, they had to be really careful not to laugh, or Kitty Bear would just stop playing. He was very temperamental!
Kitty Bear also astounded us with his agility; he was ambi-pawed! He could catch that ball with his left paw, he could catch it with his right paw, and then sometimes, he would go all out and catch it with BOTH paws! That was a truly incredible sight, and everyone marveled at it. Usually, if Kitty Bear made a particularly incredible catch, he would Meow right afterward, and try to look really modest.
(This story is not finished...I will be working on it shortly!)
