I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner! After years of letting Kitty Bear tear up furniture, I finally ran across a little scratching tray in Trader Joe's. I got it home, put the catnip on top, and watched Kitty Bear go to town on it! He just wouldn't leave that scratcher alone! In fact, he even started sleeping on it!
So, you can imagine how happy he was when I brought home the "Wide Body Scratcher!" (Shown here side-by-side with the first one, you can see how much the original, smaller one got worked!
