---This site (DonnaOnlineNow) is currently my "updated" free website.
I'm abandoning my Tripod site due to the ads. Although I'm not too crazy about the Geocities ads, at least they are movable, and I'll set up my pages to allow their intrusion. They're there for my free space! You can see all the pages left at my Tripod site by clicking here.
I've messed around with other free web hosts, but they all have basically the same content as the site you're visiting now.
The Web Page Maker is a free geocities site I'm working on to refer non-profits to in case I could help them out with providing services for their web presence.
On a whim I have purchased domain names that I thought I'd use, only to feel later "what was I thinking??!" -- good thing they're cheap!
Check out the one I'm currently working on: Not2BZ.com

---The graphics I didn't create myself are gathered from various free
graphics sites on the internet. Where links are requested, the links are
on the page where the graphics are displayed. Here are links to some of my
favorite free graphics and web-tutor places:
--Free site
templates.com
--More free site templates
--I found
artbycheryl.com has a very interesting bunch of original graphics to share for personal home-pages, as well as to purchase for commercial
use.
--See this great site for web
authoring HTML Goodies
--Also, Animation is fun to view.
What I've learned: use it sparingly...

--I had a great experience when looking
for clips last year. I was making some book plates and had my heart
set on finding a clip of a reader under a tree. After much searching, I
just couldn't find one out there. Then I found a site called CLIPS AHOY that
offered free original clipart on request (no promises on time, but you
wait in line with the other monetarily-challenged, and of course this is for
personal use only...) and they'll make one for you, and share it on their
free clipart site. THEY ACTUALLY DID IT!! (why am I surprised when someone
lives up to their promises??!!??) Within about 2 or three days I had a
note in my mailbox that the requested clipart was posted! Anyway, enough
of this long story, but definitely check out this enterprising and
promise-keeping group at http://www.clipsahoy.com
--And of course there's CNET my
favorite all-around web info site that is a help in many ways -- check out
their "stupid web tricks" section for some fun!
