LIBERTY
PHOTO OF THE SHIP DROTTNONGHOLM
Built in Glasgow, Scotland in 1905, the ship named "Drottnongholm" (pictured at left) came to Ellis Island carrying a 19-year old that was to become my husband's grandfather. The ship, built in 1905 and originally named "Virginian", ran from England to Canada. It was transferred to Canadian Pacific Steamships Limited in 1917, sold to Swedish American Line in 1920 and renamed "Drottnongholm", sailing the Gothenberg-New York route. The ship was transferred/sold two more times, and was scrapped in Italy in 1955.
The background of this page should be showing a copy of the official ship's manifest, which is available at EllisIsland.org

Here is a picture of Brr Harry, at about age four on the right, and in his later years on the left.B.H.W. c1903
I'll add more pictures when I can locate some!
Take a look at this wonderful website (www.ellisisland.org). Many people must have spent a lot of time copying and posting all these records onto the web. THANKYOU!
