Chapter 9 - The Third Great War Yet To Come

....In Revelation: Chapter 16, Verse 16, "And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon." This war gets its name from the place where it will be fought, which is called Armageddon...

Along with this famous name Armageddon, it was thought and believed that when this battle came, this whole world would burn up. Every time the name Armageddon was mentioned, it was spoken of as the last and final battle upon this earth because the world would end. This, I believe, was the reason General MacArthur said what he did when the Japanese signed an agreement to surrender at the end of World War II, "If we do not devise some greater and more equitable means of settling disputes among nations, Armageddon will be at our door." ...

Romans: Chapter 11, Verse 25, "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in." This means two things must take place before the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven: First, the fullness of the Gentiles be come; and Second, God must take away the blindness from Israel.... After Jesus comes in the air and calls up his church to meet him, God will continue to take out of the Gentile Nation a people for his name.
