BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK

Erosion has shaped limestones, sandstones, and mudstones into spires, fins, pinnacles, and mazes in this park located in Southern Utah. These shapes are referred to as "hoodoos". Bryce Canyon was designated a National Monument in June 1923 and a National Park in September 1928. Pictures are courtesy of National Park Service and specifically, John Catalano.
