Arches National Park located near Moab, Utah, has nearly 2000 natural sandstone arches and also features balanced rocks, fins, and pinnacles. The area became a National Monument in April 1929 and a National Park in November 1971. Just a few miles Southwest of the Arches, is the Canyonlands National Park, preserving a landscape of sandstone eroded into canyons, mesas and buttes.
