When we started breeding dogs in
the early 1960s, we began with Chow Chows. During that time, we bred and owned the
breed's top producing sire--Ch Donlee Prophet--and keep in mind that this was in the days
before frozen semen! Since we turned our attention to the Bouvier, we have taken the
experience and expertise we gained in those early years, and it has paid off. Just
ask Michael Potter, who's Multiple Best in Show winner, Ch Donlee Kyle's Paris, is just
one example of our successful breeding program. While we made the decision to sell all of
our males a few years ago, last year, we took the opportunity to buy back Donlee Moon
Shine del Robles, the son of the breed's most winning dog, Ch Galbraith's Ironeyes.
After spending a week with Moon Shine, we knew he was back with us to stay, and while we
co-own him with Barry Leece and Cameron Riegel, he lives in our home when he is not off at
shows with Jorge and Susie |
