Update #1

22 January 1999

Well, I finally got the home page up and running. I designed the layout about a year ago, but did not have a scanner yet (so as you may have guessed, I finally got a scanner). We have been in our new house in Colorado Springs for about one year, and we seem to be settling in. For those you who have not been in touch lately, I transferred from Washington DC to Colorado Springs about 22 months ago, and I now work for the US Space Command. John and Chiara are doing fine, but Genni is still homesick (for Maryland and Italy).

We are planning a big summer vacation this year to France and Italy. In France, we will be attending a family wedding in Carpentras (Provence). After the wedding, we will travel down to Puglia (Southern Italy) to see the rest of the family. When we get back, I will post some pictures of the trip.

I'm still in the Navy reserves and was recently promoted to LT. (O-3). I do my reserves up in Denver once a month supporting the JICPAC. I spent my last 2 week annual tour in San Diego and it was really nice. Next year I may go to Hawaii.

John is in the 6th grade and will turn 12 next month. He has the usual interests for his age (Nintendo, rollerblading,etc..) and he can't wait for the next Star Wars movie. Chiara turned two in November and when they came up with the term "terrible two's," I believe her behavior was the model. She is a LOAD.

I have not been doing much lately except working on the house, landscaping and such. As for my musical interests, lately I have been listening to Beck and Radiohead (I really like Beck "Mutations"), but I need to get some other new tunes.
