My Poetry
Wizard
And so I walked with the wizard
as we pondered the problems to solve
And for a few hours we wondered
how this world might evolve

His wisdom was deep and exciting
he taught me of things of the past
And warned that we'd be fighting
at battle that in iron was cast

Man in his infinite wisdom
he declared were afraid of much change
Their planet now tired and weary
from the poisons that man had exchanged

The green house effect was a fact
and man still wouldn't alter his ways
The earth was tossed to turmoil
and would melt away in a haze

What can I do to save it
the wizard gave no reply
Even with all of his magic
without change it was destined to die

Cast your words down on paper
and spread across the globe of the news
That unless we change our behaviour
the planet is on a short fuse

Teach them of things I have shown you
make them see the error of their ways
And just maybe there might be a future
and this isn't the end of days
