Shiny is the yellow petal where the morning dewdrops settle where the sunlight deems to lay for this is where the insects play.
Golden is it's fragile trumpet as it plays melodic scores magnified by sunlit petals flowing to far distant shores.
The insects dance upon the bloom enticed by hue and sweet perfume and as they dodge from head to head they pollinate them as they tread.
As I watch all thru' the spring I see the bees and insects sing and as they dance the trumpet frill I stand in awe of the daffodil. |
