My Poetry
The Cat
You fill my heart
With dread with fright
In the shadows
Of the night
When nothing seen
But your bright eyes
Sharp enough
To terrorise.
And when in morning
Comes the light
Once more my heart
You stalk with fright
For even the
When you appear
You fill me
Once again with fear.

You stare at me
With piercing eyes
And pounce on me
With such surprise
And walk to me
In such a mode
I'm paralysed
From head to toe.
In the garden
You hide and seek
And stalk the prey
You find so weak
And even so
Much more than that
You frighten me
'cos you're a cat.
