We packed boxes with crafts at the distribution center in Akron, PA and then visited their store in Ephrata. Ten Thousand Villages purchases crafts from Third World craft persons, offering them LIVING WAGES in return (a not too common occurence for most people in these countries). The objects are for sale at Ten Thousand Villages retail stores throughout the country.
