| Born December 19, 1983 in France, Monique's first decade was nothing less than a struggle for survival. She was born, alongside her twin brother Monet, to a poor family. Both her parents worked double shifts just to pay for the single room shack they called home. A year and a half later, Rene was born, and three years after that, came Odetta. Growing up, Monique was left to take care of her younger siblings, while Monet was responsible for finding necessities, such as food and clothing. Unfortunately, Odetta became feverish when she was just barely two years old. She was the first to die. Two years later, Rene went out in search of food and never returned. Still to this day, Monique looks for him and without a trace. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Monique and Monet had that special bond between twins. They had their own personality, but were nothing without their other half. Inseperable. At least that was until they were about nine years old. A wealthier man had wandered into their neighborhood and found Monique. He had tried to put himself on her, but Monet found him and killed him, accidently. Of course, no one believed the street rats and Monet was prosecuted to the fullest extent of the all. On January 13, 1992, Monet St.-Croix was executed publicly for murder. | ||||||||||||||||||||

| A less than a year later, Monique found herself cornered by a drunk and without protection. When he was finished with her, he dropped a handful of bills next to her. She was already broken from losing her siblings, so the rape didn't affect her as much as one would think. Instead, she took the money and ran all the way home to her parents. With the little bit of money the St.-Croix's had been saving, they were able to buy safe-passage to the United States of America and find a distant relative. With a little bit of help, the Saint-Croix family started the 'La Soleil' Floral Boutique. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| The next two years were another struggle for the family of three. Monique refused to give up. She promised herself that she wouldn't starve ever again. For the next four years, Monique took "clients" in order to earn a bit of sleaze money to pay for her parents debts. One of those men saw that the family had an ideal location and a perfect face. He offered to help them if they helped him. Monique agreed and it wasn't hard to convince her parents to go along with the scheme. They started selling narcotics through their flower shop. It had originally been her parents idea to start the floral shop. But it had inspired Monique. She spent a year researching the effects of different herbs and flowers on people and learned what ones could help a person, and which ones could cause harm. And so began Monique's close operations with an Organized Crime goup. She found she could use her natural beauty and her femine wiles to get things to go in her favor. Monique made record profits for not only the syndicate she worked for, but also for herself and without having to sacrifice herself physical again. By the time Monique was nineteen, they had enough money to move the shop to a better location and 'start anew'. Money became Monique's objective. It became her motivation and her reason for doing what she did. She fit well into the lifestyle of the rich and famous and it wasn't long before she was being invited to the swankiest parties and events. Currently, age twenty-three, Monique continues down this path, very much enjoying her life now. |
