Dissolve 1 package of yeast in 1/4 cup of warm water
for 10min. Mix with 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon
sugar, 3 tablespoons of olive oil (I double it to 6),
1 cup of cool water, 3-1/4 cups of flour.
Knead the dough till elastic and smooth. Place dough in a oil coated bowl for 30min. Use half for a thin Napoli style pizza. Freeze the other half for later use. Coat the crust generously with olive oil on both sides. Coat the entire pan with olive oil to keep the dough from sticking to the pan when you back it. Our favorite toppings/spices are minced or sliced garlic, fresh basil leaves, marinara sauce, sliced fresh tomato and mozzarella or parmesan cheese. Bake at 425F 20min or till done. I add sesame oil to the dough sometimes. |
