Adrenaline's Story

A-way back when the player's were all just starting their soccer careers (around '93), their coaches - Don and John - were also just starting their coaching careers. Through the years, as the players moved up, Coach D and J adjusted their training to allow them to move up as well. In recent years, Coach D was an All-star  (R 41) coach several years running (John assisting with all the duties). And, as a final step to becoming a PSC coach, Coach D accepted the PLUS GU14 reigns 2 two years ago. During the '00 season, he took his PLUS team to the # 3 spot in the county. Of course each year, the two coaches took spring tournament teams to levels never before seen in their city. Three of those (5) years, the spring seasons were capped with trips to Hawaii and Utah.. where, of course, medals and trophies awaited the young ladies

But, enough about past history.. In addition to all their years of coaching great teams, Don and John began their 'lobby' to bring Pacific Soccer Club to South County near the end of the fall '00 season. It was an up-hill battle, but one that was certainly worth the effort. Not only did they carve out a 'home' for the upcoming '01 U15 players, but being accepted as coaches allowed them to scout some of the best talent in the county.

The try-outs were overwhelming in that more than 50 players came to try for a spot on the team. With that much talent hoping for a shot, the coaches and their trainer were able to assess the players available and consequently selected what was believed to be a true 'force' in Southland soccer. Alas and alack, two of their selections were unable to participate once the season was set to begin. So, it was back to the drawing board to fill their roster. Luckily, one of the best talents that they had observed had not yet signed with another Club, so... they quickly made a move to secure their 17th player.

The team's roster was finally set and their season got under way. Stay tuned for more greatness!
