   He is James, and he's the hottest thing to happen to anime since the beginning.
     James started life in the South under strict rules and with LOTS of money. He was happy for a time, until his parents decided it was time he was married. -_-# Come on. The kid looked about 7 years old. Of course he's going to freak. Oh! It gets better! His fiancee is a whip-weilding psycho woman named Jessebelle. She wanted to mold him into a gentleman at 7 years old. Do you know any 7 year old boy who would want to throw away his chldhood and say, "Yes, I'll become a man now." Neither do I, and James was no exception. He made it quite clear he wanted to stay single a bit longer, and definetly didn't want to be wed to Jessebelle. Soon the pressure of his fiancee and parents got to him, and he ran away from home with his loyal Growlithe, Glowly, trailing not far behind. Supposedly, James instructed Growly to stay behind and continued on his own.
     After leaving home, James somehow made it into Pokemon Technical, an expensive school. (Why he would run away, then go to school, I've no idea) There he met Jessie. They became good friends, and James seemed oblivious to the fact that Jessie closely resembled Jessebelle. Jessie grew up with a tragic background: poor and lonely, her mother a lead member of Team Rocket. But, her moher was supposedly dead at the time of Jessie's attending school. After recieving the lowest test scores in the history of the school, the pair dropped out.
     Looking for somewhere to fit in, Jessie and James joined a bicycle gang in Sunnytown. They both became legends, Trainer Jim (nicked for being the only member who had training wheels), and Chainer Jess (who valiantly swung a long metal chain as she rode).
     Looking for an easy way to make a living, the duo joined Team Rocket, an orginazation of Pokemon theives. There they were teamed with Meowth, whom had been degraded from Boss' favorite to mere agent. Meowth's history is mainly a love story. He was abandoned by his parents, set off to Hollywood in search of fried chicken and ice cream, and was there adopted by a gang of street Meowths and their leader, a Persian. While stealing a fish one day, he noticed a beautiful feamale Meowth named Meowsy. Her owner was a rich human who bought her all sorts of fancy things. After confessing his love to her, Meowsy shot Meowth down, saying he wasn't human and only humans could ever make her happy. Determined to impress his love, Meowth learned to walk and talk like a human, but when he returned to Meowsy, she merely called him a freak meowth. Heartbroken, he swore he'd make it to the top, and then she'd be sorry.
     Team Rocket may be where James currently is in the show, but in the manga he has already confessed his love for Jessie, gotten married, and is soon to be a father.
     James is famous for dressing up as a Moltres only to make a fool of himself, collecting bottle caps, holding his trademark: a red rose (which we later discover symblizes blood), crossdressing (I know what you're thinking and he's NOT), being the gentlest member of his team, and also the most gullible, having been tricked to buy a Magikarp for 10X its worth and an overpriced metal dectector that didn't do much (except find bottlecaps, yay!).
