MY BEST FRIEND "SCOTTY"

When i was just a child, being hurt over and over again
A special friend came into my life, helped to ease my pain

Showed me how to love again, restored my faith in life
Gave me a much brighter childhood, without the woes and strife

When i needed to find an escape, from all the troubles at home
To him i'd go, spending time with him, him and me alone

Sometimes i'd cry, my face in his neck, holding him real tight
Telling him all my secrets, hoping for a way to make it right

When i was lonely, scared or worried, together we would hide
He'd never judge me or cause me pain, forever at my side

We had a very special bond, one that would never break
The trust we had in each other no-one could ever take

Lifes path we took as one, joined by an invisable tie
At times not needing words, just a look from eye to eye

Never again will i trust another, as much as i did him
The highs and lows, good and bad, my whole world he has seen

He was the most important thing in my life, a very loyal friend
Always in my heart he'll be, i was with him till the end

A pony is whom i'm talking about, and "Scotty" was his name
And without him right here with me now,
life will never be the same
