Dominique began year 2000 by the Tour de Langkawi where he finished 56th, the best result of his new team. Then it was the Grand Prix Umag, run February 12 and 13, 18, 19 and 20 in Croatia where 199 riders took the start. On February 20, Dominique finished 17th.
After that, it was the Grand Prix Due Giorni di Chiasso on February 26 in Switzerland, the Grand Prix Civitanova on February 27 in Italia, the Giro del Lago Maggiore on March 5 in Italia. Dominique finished 76th at the Volta ao Algarve in Portugal, March 8-12, 73rd at the Grand Prix Giro del Lago Maggiore in Switzerland on March 5. Then 45th in the Grand Prix Pino Cerami-Wasmuel in Belgium on April 7 and 36th in the Hel van het Mergelland in Holland on April 8.
Then Dominique caugh a virus during the Settimana Lombarda run from April 12-15. He finished 62nd at the GP Kanton Aargau-Gippingen in Switzerland on April 30. At the Tour de Romandie run in Switzerland May 2-7, he was in front for 150 km during the second stage. He had a tremendous press coverage for that ride.

Dominique was 19th at the Schynberg Rundfahrt in Switzerland on June 4, finishing second for the mountain points jersey. He finished 28th at the Fitchburg Longsjo Classic, June 29-July 2. On July 8, he was second at the time trial at the Grand Prix cycliste de Charlevoix and the day after we won the road race. On July 16, he led for 200 km at the Canadian Championships road race.
Back to Europe, Dominique finished 70th in the Tour of Danemark, August 1-5 and 74th in the Coppa Agostoni in Italy on August 17. On September 10, he was third at the Grand Prix de Lausanne. After that it was the Grand Prix Meyrin, the Tour du Doubs, the Grand Prix Avegno, the Paris-Bourges and the Hessen Tour. He endend his season on October 15, finishing 68th at the World Championships in Plouay, Bretagne.
