Dominique ran in the Tour de Romandie, May 2-7. He finished last (112th) but will never forget this race. Not because of his final result, but for what happened during stage 2, the longest with 225,1 km, where he was the only one in front for more than 140 km.

His photo was on the front page of not only the Swiss newspapers but also in the Montreal newspapers.
