A Tribute to Courtney Noelle Morris
A Tribute in Honor of:
Courtney  Noelle  Morris
Courtney was born in December 1996.  She was a beautiful but frail little girl.  She was a fighter and fought everyday of her seven years here on earth.  But, she never complained.  She was so smart and everyone that met her loved her.  She had away of bringing you to her level and before you knew it you were smitten with her.  She was a humble child that respected others and loved eveyone.  In the last couple of years of her life Courtney spent weeks, sometimes as much as a month at a time in Childern's Hospital.  This would have gotten the best of us down, but not her, she made the best of a bad time in her life.  You know as I look back now, when I thought I was comforting Courtney, she was actually comforting me.
"You are the wind beneath my wings".
Courtney was seven years old and weighed amire 38 pounds.  She was just a wisp of a little girl who made a huge impact on everyone around her.  She had long chestnut brown hair and beautiful brown eyes and a toothless smile.  The minute you looked into her eyes you were under her spell.  Courtney had many favorite things and things that she like to do.  One of those things was going to church.  She loved all of her church friends.  Her pastor told me one day at the hospital that everyone at church had made her their "Angel of their church".  I know that, had she lived, she would have been an artist.  She drew and colored or painted pictures for most of the nurses and caregivers and her doctors at Childern's Hospital.  Many of them told me how proud they are to have them now to remember her.  It seems everyone has their favorite memory of Courtney that makes them smile.  There's not a day that passes that I don't shed a tear for my angel, but I also know after watching her all her life that she is better off where she is and if given the choice probaby would not come back here now.  After all she is well now and she can make the ones in heaven smile.  I will see her again one day and I will smile because it will be the first time seeing her well.  When Courtney passed she was at home in her surroundings with family and friends and her pastor to comfort and guide her.  She slipped away peacefully leaving alot of shattered hearts behind.
