I am a "Jersey Girl"
(love to think that "the
boss"
wrote that song just for me ... LOL) ....
livin in a tiny suburban
(located about 45 miles east of NYC
((aka the big apple, the City,))
on the Manhattan direct rail line!
Get in to the city at least once a week.. and normall
try more..
I love the City, and love NOT living there!
Been playin acro for about 8 months now...
got hooked on dome and couch rules
and am proud to be a DR!!
I live with my two teenage boys (16 and 15) and their
Dad ...
my guys are great... they are all sports nuts
so my life revolves around football, basketball,
baseball and lots of laundry!!!
(am in process of teaching the younger ones
how to do it themselves.. have given up on the older
one!)
In my spare time I am active on several community
boards,
(one of which, the Substance Abuse Alliance
funds activities for teens in our community..
so it's close to my heart!)
and involved in all sorts of school related
activities.
When I work (which is as little as possible),
it's in the local High School,
(MHS, .. home of the Colonials.. Go Big Maroon)
as support staff in a program called Schools To
Careers
where we assist kids (hopefully) with college
and career searches and hopefully directing
them to places where they might be happy after high
school!
It's a state funded grant program so we
are at the mercy of lots of red tape and bureacrats!
Workin in a school environment helps keep me young
...
and there never seems to be too many dull moments!
I LOVE the beach (one of my acro names is beachy54)
and get to as many as I can as much as I can!!!!
Formerly lived in California and Florida.,
and if you want to visit a gorgeous
Jersey Beach let me know..I know em all!!
I also love to travel, collect angels
(my kids think it's normal to have
christmas decorations up all year!),
love anything chocolate, love pets
(but don't have any cause of allergies),
am really good at wallpapering, sponge painting
and faux finish painting, and love refinishing
furniture
(that I find at those marvelous garage sales)...
So.. that's me, Shadowss!!!
